Join our team as a highly technical developer advocate to foster relationships with the developer community, create exceptional technical content, and promote the adoption of our developer-oriented solutions.
Requirements
- 2+ years full-stack engineering experience (JS/TS, Kubernetes, Docker, Heroku, or equivalent)
- Ability to write high-quality and easy to read code across multiple tech stacks
- Strong expertise in Kubernetes/containerization and cloud computing technologies, including hands-on experience with major cloud providers (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
- Exceptional technical writing and presentation skills, with a proven ability to create engaging content for a developer audience
- Passion for teaching technical content to diverse audiences
- A track record of building and nurturing communities, both online and offline
- Experience organizing or launching community initiatives (social channels, online forum, events, newsletters)
- Willingness to travel to attend conferences, meetups, and other industry events
- Fluency in English to effectively serve our international user-base
Responsibilities
- Become an expert resource for our developer community by staying up-to-date on our platform's capabilities and the surrounding technical landscape
- Create engaging content to educate our users on Northflank, DevOps, and the cloud native ecosystem (documentation, blog posts, tutorials, demos, coding challenges, support articles, YouTube videos, feedback surveys, and more)
- Build meaningful relationships with the developer community by engaging with their questions, pain points, and ideas through Northflank support channels, social channels, and developer sites like Hacker News and Reddit
- Drive conversations with our community about our product, trending topics in DevOps, and the cloud native ecosystem
- Identify and pursue opportunities to expand our community presence and developer trust (industry events, conferences, co-marketing partnerships, etc.)
- Communicate developer pain points and feedback to the rest of the GTM team
- Work with our engineering team to promptly respond to customer queries, feedback, and reported bugs
Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in developer advocacy, developer relations, or a similar role within the technology industry
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Marketing, Communications or a related field
- Hands-on experience with social media management, SEO and/or online marketing channels
- Familiarity with developer relations toolchains and best practices for tracking and measuring the success of advocacy efforts
- Experience with design or video-editing tools (Figma, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Premier Pro)
