Developer Advocate

Summary

Join SingleStore, a leading database company, as a Developer Advocate to grow our developer community. You will create high-quality technical content (blog posts, tutorials, videos, webinars), optimize content for SEO, build technical tutorials and demos showcasing SingleStore's capabilities, and engage with developers through various platforms. This role requires strong technical writing skills, database fundamentals knowledge, application development experience, and excellent organizational abilities. You will collaborate with marketing, product, and engineering teams and manage multiple projects asynchronously. The ideal candidate has experience in product-led growth (PLG) and a passion for developer advocacy.

Requirements

• Experience writing technical content for developers (blog posts, tutorials, documentation)
• Knowledge of SEO strategy and writing with discoverability in mind
• Ability to create and edit high-quality tutorial and product videos
• Basic understanding of databases and experience building apps
• Experience working in or understanding product-led growth (PLG) companies
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects asynchronously

Responsibilities

• Create Developer-Focused Content: Write engaging blog posts, guides, and tutorials that resonate with a technical audience
• SEO Optimization: Apply SEO best practices to content to increase organic discoverability
• Build Technical Tutorials & Demos: Develop hands-on tutorials and sample applications that showcase SingleStore’s capabilities
• Video & Webinar Production: Create technical video content, including tutorials and product walkthroughs. Present in live webinars and recorded sessions
• Community Engagement & Advocacy: Engage with developers through forums, Discord, GitHub, and other platforms to help them succeed with SingleStore
• Public Speaking: Represent SingleStore at industry events, conferences, and meetups
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, product, and engineering teams to align content with key initiatives
• Project Management: Stay organized while managing multiple content initiatives and deadlines
• Product-Led Growth (PLG) Expertise: Apply PLG strategies to drive self-serve adoption and engagement

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience presenting at webinars, conferences, or meetups
• Hands-on experience with SingleStore or other distributed databases
