Development and implementation of native-photonic benchmarks

Summary

Join Quandela, a leading European startup in photonic quantum computing, and contribute to the design and implementation of our latest photon-native benchmarking technique. Support the integration and testing of benchmarking methods, collaborating with hardware and theory teams. Document technical developments, ensuring benchmark reproducibility and scalability. Requirements

• You are pursuing a Master's degree in Quantum Information Science, Physics, Mathematics or Computer Science
• This position is only valid with an Internship Agreement
• A solid understanding and practical experience in Python
• Strong communication skills (french and english)
• To have a critical thinking, being able to analyze problems, evaluate data and make decisions
• Proficiency in data analysis

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the design and implementation of our latest photon-native benchmarking technique and develop unitary characterization tools for Quandela's QPUs
• Support the integration and testing of benchmarking methods in collaboration with the hardware and theory teams
• Document all technical developments and assist in ensuring reproducibility and scalability of benchmarks

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with group and representation theory
• Familiarity with randomized benchmarking, Perceval, and/or boson sampling
