Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in a DevOps or related role, with a proven track record of designing and implementing DevOps solutions
  • Proficiency in cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, including infrastructure as code (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation)
  • Strong scripting skills in languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell
  • Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or CircleCI
  • Familiarity with configuration management tools such as Ansible, Chef, or Puppet
  • Solid understanding of networking concepts, security best practices, and system administration in Linux and/or Windows environments
  • Experience with infrastructure automation tools like Packer, Vault, or Consul
  • Knowledge of software development methodologies such as Agile or DevOps
  • Experience with microservices architecture and serverless computing
  • Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK stack
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain scalable and resilient DevOps infrastructure to support our software delivery pipelines and cloud-based applications
  • Develop and enhance CI/CD pipelines to automate software build, testing, and deployment processes, leveraging best-in-class tools and technologies
  • Implement and enforce security measures to protect sensitive data stored in the databases, including access controls, encryption, and auditing
  • Ensure compliance with relevant data protection regulations and industry standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, SOC 2)
  • Conduct regular security assessments and vulnerability scans, addressing any identified risks or vulnerabilities
  • Architect and implement infrastructure as code (IaC) solutions using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation to automate provisioning and configuration management tasks
  • Lead incident response and resolution efforts, conducting root cause analysis and implementing preventative measures to minimize future incidents and downtime
  • Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in DevOps, cloud computing, and automation, and advocate for their adoption within the organization
  • Collaborate with development teams to optimize application performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement best practices for scalability, reliability, and security
  • Implement and manage monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions to ensure the health, performance, and security of our systems, utilizing tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, or Datadog
  • Collaborate with software development teams to integrate automated testing and deployment processes into the software development lifecycle (SDLC)
  • Provide technical leadership, guidance, and mentorship to junior team members

Preferred Qualifications

  • C- Certifications such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Microsoft Certified: Azure DevOps Engineer Expert, or Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent work experience)
