Requirements

  • A Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in related field or equivalent work experience can be substituted instead of a degree
  • At least 3 years of experience in software systems, programming, and infrastructure development and administration
  • At least 2 years of experience with revision code source code repositories in particular git and SVN
  • At least 2 years of experience with strong and evolving competence in several programming languages and technologies, working knowledge of multiple tools sets, technologies and implementation environments
  • At least 2 years of experience and understanding of typical three-tier enterprise application architectures
  • At least 2 years of experience of practical Linux based systems administration skills and scripting experience in a Cloud-based environment
  • At least 1 year of experience with automating processes with one or more scripting languages such as Python, Bash, and/or PowerShell

Responsibilities

  • Engage in and improve the whole lifecycle of servicesβ€”from inception and design, through deployment, operation and refinement to efficiently deliver solutions frequently with quality
  • Write code, building infrastructure as code, work with immutable β€˜cloud’ based environments, and build the supporting automated toolsets to test and deploy the systems they develop
  • As an Automation engineer, analyze, design and implement strategies for continuous deployments while ensuring high availability on the development, pre-production and production environments
  • Maintain services (and supporting cloud infrastructure) once they are live by measuring and monitoring availability, latency and overall system health
  • Establish strategy/toolset/framework for automating testing of services and products, develop best practices for test automation and develop test suites

Preferred Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of J2EE, JAVA, javascript, or python frameworks and design patterns. OR Working knowledge of Ruby on Rails frameworks and design
  • Working knowledge of IP networking, VPNs, DNS, load balancing and firewalling
  • Management of continuous integration servers like Jenkins and Bamboo
  • Ability to self-manage assigned tasks and projects
  • Ability to work independently with minimal direction
  • Strong interpersonal skills, written and verbal communication
