Summary
Join Abercrombie & Fitch Co. as a DevOps Engineer and play a key role in designing, building, and maintaining our cloud infrastructure. You will leverage your expertise in Azure services, including Data Factory, Kafka, Kubernetes, and API Management, to ensure seamless data flow and application performance. Responsibilities include building ETL/ELT pipelines, managing Kafka clusters, designing CI/CD pipelines, and deploying applications using AKS and Azure Functions. You will also utilize scripting languages like Python and PowerShell for automation. This role requires a minimum of 3 years of experience in IT or cloud-based DevOps environments and proficiency in various IT skills. The ideal candidate will have a growth mindset, excellent communication skills, and experience working in an Agile framework.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field preferred, or combination of education and experience
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in IT or cloud-based DevOps environments
- Experience in the design and operation of medium to large scale enterprise infrastructure, databases, and application systems requiring 24x7x365 uptime
- Competence in a wide range of IT skills including networking, systems administration, data protection, information security, & CI/CD tooling
- Demonstrated growth mindset, enthusiastic learner, ability to teach and mentor teammates and cross functional partners
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a keen attention to detail
- Experience working within an Agile framework
Responsibilities
- Azure Data Factory (ADF): Hands-on experience in building and managing ETL/ELT pipelines, integrating ADF with Azure services and on-premise data sources for seamless data movement and transformation
- Confluent Kafka: Strong expertise in deploying and managing Confluent Kafka for real-time data streaming and messaging. Experience with Connectors and knowledge of stream processing and ensuring high availability of Kafka clusters
- CI/CD & Azure DevOps: Proficiency in designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, including managing AKS, Storage Blob Containers, APIM, Postgres, and Cosmos DB
- Azure Cloud Services: Experience in deploying and managing applications using Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Azure Functions, and Azure Container Instances with infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform or ARM templates
- Azure API Management (APIM): Skilled in designing, securing, and managing APIs using APIM with authentication, rate limiting, and integration with Azure Functions or Logic Apps
- GraphQL & Redis: Experience in deploying and managing Apollo GraphQL for real-time data queries. Expertise in optimizing Redis for caching and data storage, ensuring performance and scalability
- Scripting & Automation: Proficiency in Python, PowerShell, or Bash for automating deployments and infrastructure tasks, with knowledge of tools like Ansible or Puppet
- Containerization & Security: Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes, along with knowledge of cloud security best practices
- Agile & Collaboration: Familiarity with Agile methodologies and related tools for efficient development and deployment workflows
Preferred Qualifications
- IaaC development with Terraform, Azure CLI, Puppet, and Ansible
- Scripting experience with Perl, Python, and PowerShell
- Proficient with GIT to perform source code management
- Experience with Terraform Cloud and Azure DevOps
- Experience with Jira and ServiceNow
