DevOps Load And Performance Engineer

Summary

Join Encora as a DevOps Engineer and play a key role in driving infrastructure automation, continuous delivery, observability, and security. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, leveraging strong communication and analytical skills to evaluate technologies and choose optimal solutions. Lead process improvements, establish standards, and provide guidance to project teams. This role requires excellent organization and planning to assess and improve a real-time communication system. You will focus on infrastructure management, implementing monitoring systems, supporting test scaling, and creating dashboards. The position demands a deep understanding of real-time communication system performance metrics.

Requirements

• Have experience with Load and Performance system Tests
• Possess knowledge/experience in languages such as Python, Scripting, JS, Java, Ruby, Go, etc
• Have knowledge/experience in Infrastructure as Code/config management tools
• Have experience with container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
• Have experience with test automation tools and frameworks (ex. SIPp, JMeter, Gatling, k6)
• Have experience with Azure Cloud including provisioning and operations activities
• Have experience with Git, Jira
• Be comfortable with a Linux environment
• Be able to connect best practices with daily activities

Responsibilities

• Focus on setting up and managing the infrastructure needed for testing, including server provisioning and resource monitoring (CPU, memory, network)
• Implement real-time monitoring systems like Prometheus and Grafana to track metrics during tests
• Support test scaling for high volumes of traffic and simultaneous calls
• Demonstrate a deep understanding of metrics such as latency, jitter, packet loss rates, and their impact on overall performance of a real-time communication system
• Create dashboards and reports to visualize the system’s real capacity and limits
• Digest requirements from product and development teams and design high-performance DevOps pipelines
• Maintain and improve CI/CD pipelines
• Develop solution components in partnership with the Dev team
• Identify process/modules bottlenecks and suggest actions for improvement

Preferred Qualifications

• Have experience with Microservice Architecture
• Have knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases
• Have knowledge/experience in Agile development using Scrum or Kanban Methodology
• Have knowledge of VoIP Systems and VoIP Protocols (ex. SIP, RTP, TURN, STUN)
• Have experience with Real-Time communication systems
