Devops/Cassandra Engineer

Summary

Join our Infrastructure team as a DevOps Engineer to help bring best practices and maturity to our AWS & GCP Cloud infrastructure. You will work closely with the engineering team to support growth from an infrastructure perspective, utilizing cutting-edge infrastructure and tools such as Terraform, docker & Kubernetes.

Requirements

• 5+ years experience in a hands-on DevOps role
• Strong Cassandra Knowledge
• 3+ years AWS experience a must, AWS certifications preferred
• Expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) ( Terraform, Ansible) and Security-as-Code
• Deep understanding of Kubernetes (EKS)
• Strong foundational Linux, OS, and network skills
• Experience configuring and supporting monitoring tools (Prometheus, cloudwatch, ELK, SignalFX)
• Hands-on experience with distributed systems, especially distributed data stores such as Mongo, ElasticSearch, Couchbase, Redis
• Past exposure with big data ecosystems such as Spark, Kafka, Kinesis, AWS EMR
• Demonstrates excellent verbal and written communication style

Responsibilities

• Ensure our infrastructure and security scales with our growth
• Participate in on-call rotation and ensure reliability and uptime for our global customers
• Hands-on approach in addressing issues, outages, and new solutions
• Implement infrastructure automation, developer productivity tools, and security tools
• Manage relationships with external vendors
• Manage our AWS cost
