DevSecOps and External Integration Assistant Vice President

Summary

Join iCapital's Platform Infrastructure team as a Platform Engineer and play a critical role in maintaining the production and development environments. You will leverage advanced cloud capabilities to support the company's platform infrastructure strategy. This highly visible role involves collaboration across the business and requires expertise in cloud computing, DevOps, and microservices. You will be responsible for building highly available solutions, integrating acquired companies' offerings, and staying current with AWS advancements. The position offers a comprehensive benefits package and is fully remote.

Requirements

• 6+ years of AWS Cloud Architecture or Solutions Architect work to include experience integrating solutions that are a monolithic architecture with solutions that are a micro-services architecture
• 6+ years of DevOps or SRE experience with at least 4 years of AWS experience
• 6+ years of CI/CD pipeline development in GitLab, GitHub, or similar framework
• 5+ years of Microservices (Docker, Kubernetes) experience in a production environment
• Strong Linux OS-level and command-line/scripting knowledge and configuration management principles
• Working knowledge of databases such as MongoDB, Postgres, DynamoDB
• Exceptional analytical skills, able to apply knowledge and experience in decision-making to arrive at creative and commercial solutions
• Good written and spoken communication skills
• Ability to design and implement complex, but easily managed, automated infrastructure
• A desire to share, teach and learn as part of a team
• Expert level knowledge of networking
• Experience in system tuning and performance testing

Responsibilities

• Build highly available solutions across the entire SDLC stack with primary focus on an internet facing fintech site
• Interface with companies iCapital has acquired and work with a team of solutions architects to create a roadmap to integrate the acquired company’s offering onto iCapital’s platform
• Stay up to date with AWS’ latest offerings and provide solutions that align with the latest industry standards
• Develop software & tooling to secure and automate cloud infrastructure building software delivery capabilities with fully automatic workflows
• Design and operation of a Kubernetes environment for container management and orchestration
• Experience with distributed systems design, maintenance, and hands-on troubleshooting/debugging skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Coding beyond simple scripting with strong opinions on maintainable/reusable code in Python, Ruby or Java desired
• Experience with compute provisioning on a Cloud based platform using Terraform and/or Cloud formation
• Experience building a Microservice based architecture
• AWS certifications a plus
