DFM Project Engineer

Summary

Xometry is hiring a DFM Project Engineer to work with customers across various industries and evaluate manufacturability of customer designs using Xometry's portfolio of technologies. The engineer will develop sourcing strategies, aid production in troubleshooting order execution, and take on special projects related to expanding the manufacturing partner network. A Bachelor of Science Degree in Manufacturing Engineering or a related field with 5+ years of engineering and manufacturing experience is required.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Manufacturing Engineering or a related field
• 5+ years of engineering and manufacturing experience
• 1-2 years of manufacturing engineering experience with a focus on Injection Molding
• Knowledge of GD&T and inspection/QA practices required
• Experience working with suppliers, OEM equipment providers, and customers

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement applicable sourcing strategy
• Aid production in troubleshooting order execution to ensure customer success
• Interface directly with machine shops, sheet metal fabrication shops, internal staff members and management, as well as customers
• Take on special projects related to expanding the capabilities of our manufacturing partner network

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with 3D CAD modeling software (SolidWorks preferred)
• Ability to identify DFM issues based on CAD models and drawings
