Summary
Join Cylinder as a Registered Dietitian and provide personalized, virtual Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) to members with digestive issues. You will utilize counseling skills and evidence-based strategies to promote symptom relief and behavior change. Responsibilities include managing comorbid conditions, dietary supplements, and collaborating with an interdisciplinary team. You will need a Bachelor's degree, Registered Dietitian certification, and at least one year of outpatient dietitian experience. Flexibility to work across multiple time zones and a dedicated workspace are also required. Bilingual skills and a Master's degree are preferred.
Requirements
- Minimum of Bachelor's degree
- Registered dietitian status certified through CDR
- Proof of required licensure as stated by the RD's home state
- A minimum of one year of outpatient dietitian experience
- Flexibility to work with variable individual schedules across multiple time zones, including one evening until 8 Central Time. Your schedule will be created two months in advance
- Quiet and professional dedicated workspace with secure high-speed internet access
Responsibilities
- Apply evidence-based strategies to promote symptom relief, condition treatment, and behavior change β including assessment, nutrition diagnosis, interventions, monitoring, and evaluation
- Manage comorbid conditions with Medical Nutrition Therapy
- Manage dietary supplements and probiotics
- Use counseling skills (MI, TTM, strengths-based care) to help members move through the stages of change via one-on-one HIPAA-compliant telephone, video, and instant messaging
- Aid in the administrative burden of caring for a chronic disease and support the member with developing self-efficacy and self-advocacy
- Apply our Member Engagement Model and Clinical Pathways to promote symptom relief, digestive condition treatment, and behavior change
- Provide education, set SMART goals, and act as an accountability partner to help members feel their best
- Document according to established guidelines and expectations
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team for optimal care for the members
- Practice within HIPAA/state/federal guidelines, our Clinical Pathways, within role scope of practice, and refer to other disciplines according to our escalation plans and guidelines
- Maintain strict confidentiality of membersβ Protected Health Information and be bound by our confidentiality agreement
Preferred Qualifications
- Bilingual (Spanish)
- Masterβs degree in Dietetics or Human Nutrition
- Certified Health Coach: NBC-HWC credentials
- Multi-state licensure
- Experience with Motivational Interviewing, SMART goal setting, assessing stages of change/readiness, etc
