Digital Asset Product Controller

Summary

As a Digital Asset Product Controller at Animoca Brands, you will manage and oversee the financial reporting of the company's Digital Asset trading portfolio, ensuring accurate financial reporting, monitoring performance, conducting analyses, and providing valuable insights for strategic decision-making.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in Product Control, Financial Control, Accounting, or a related role
• Proficient in managing the P&L and month-end close process
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or a related field
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a robust control focus
• Excellent communication skills and ability to develop strong working relationships

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of daily P&L, daily risk and month-end close process for the Digital Asset Trading Desk
• Ensure the accuracy and integrity of revenue reporting
• Develop a deep understanding of the drivers of product profitability
• Manage the balance sheet with a focus on the Cost of Funding
• Collaborate closely with various teams to ensure reporting accuracy and alignment
• Lead the monthly ledger close process, including reconciliations, variance analysis, and detailed commentary
• Conduct monthly business review meetings with the trading desk to sign off on the P&L
• Proactively identify and address control-related issues, and oversee associated remediation plans

Preferred Qualifications

Familiarity with web3 technologies, blockchain-based financial products, centralized and decentralized exchanges is highly advantageous
