Join Kidango, a leading early learning nonprofit, as our Digital Engagement and Annual Fund Manager! This critical new role, based remotely with occasional in-person requirements, focuses on attracting and stewarding donors to build a major gifts pipeline. You will develop and execute a comprehensive digital marketing and fundraising strategy, leveraging platforms like Classy, to cultivate donor relationships and maximize fundraising success. You'll collaborate with various teams, manage vendor relationships, and analyze program performance to inform strategic decisions. Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Create a digital marketing strategy with the development director with the goal of growing the pipeline of supporters for Kidango
  • Develop a donor pipeline using digital advertising to targeted groups
  • Turn leads into dollars using fundraising software platform Classy
  • Develop and continuously manage A/B testing of messages to potential and existing donors
  • Liaise with the marketing director to align messaging to donors
  • Write and edit copy for donor-facing audiences
  • Manage relationships with agencies, vendors, and other third parties as needed
  • Develop and execute the overarching fundraising strategy and creative direction of the Annual Fund program to acquire, retain and upgrade donors
  • Manage all Annual Fund individual fundraising programs, including direct mail, email marketing and telecommunications campaigns and monthly giving, and serve as the primary liaison for vendors
  • Provide day to day support for the Direct Response/Annual Fund program
  • Write and oversee the design of compelling and effective email solicitations and stewardship pieces for all Annual Fund donors
  • Develop a deep understanding of what motivates each donor segment through continuous testing of best practices; share findings regularly across the Development & Marketing teams
  • Work collaboratively with the Major Gifts team to ensure the Annual Fund program is an effective pipeline for other giving opportunities
  • Work with the Development Team to measure, analyze, and report on fundraising and program performance to inform strategic decisions
  • Collaborate with the Development Team to ensure that all donor communications, including direct mail, acknowledgment letters, welcome series and other stewardship pieces are accurate and timely
  • Work closely with the Marketing and IT departments to ensure electronic communication adheres to brand guidelines and shares one voice; partner to ensure our online giving experience is best in class

Preferred Qualifications

  • Five to seven years of nonprofit experience with annual fund/direct response experience
  • Strong project management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; experience writing creative and impactful communication that inspires donors to give
  • Experience evaluating processes and making strategic recommendations that increase fundraising success
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, deadline driven role
  • Proven track record working in a collaborative team environment
  • Significant level of computer proficiency including Google, MS Office, and CRM tools; Salesforce experience a plus
  • Bachelor's degree in a directly related field preferred
