Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience working within strategic finance in a leadership capacity
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in business, finance, economics, or a related field
  • Extensive experience in financial modeling, investor presentations, etc
  • Deep understanding of the healthcare, wellness, or technology industries, including market dynamics, regulatory environments, and emerging trends
  • Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information and develop actionable insights
  • Proven leadership abilities, with experience managing cross-functional teams and driving alignment across diverse stakeholders
  • High degree of adaptability and resilience, thriving in a fast-paced and evolving environment
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with executives and functional leadership to evaluate business opportunities, including market expansion, margin optimization, new business lines, and other growth initiatives
  • Facilitate effective decision-making through in-depth analyses, cross-functional collaboration, and regular communication of business insights
  • Lead internal discussions with operations and cross-functional teams to advance the companyโ€™s strategic priorities
  • Apply rigorous financial evaluation to optimize capital allocation across the business
  • Track and analyze key business performance metrics, identifying trends and opportunities to enhance financial and operational outcomes
  • Conduct deep-dive strategic analyses across business units to uncover areas for optimization and value creation
  • Partner with teams in Product, Sales, Marketing, and Operations to evaluate growth levers and drive data-backed decision-making
  • Develop and present financial insights and strategic recommendations to executive leadership and the Board of Directors
  • Support new initiatives, mergers & acquisitions, and other growth opportunities through comprehensive financial analysis and risk assessment
  • Play a critical role in the annual strategic planning process, from evaluating market opportunities to developing business cases, financial forecasts, and comprehensive strategic plans
  • Assist in preparing the long-range financial plan, incorporating strategic initiatives and operating plans under various scenarios
  • Help execute strategic projects to ensure the business stays aligned with its strategic priorities and financial goals
  • Prepare materials and presentations for external audiences such as the Board of Directors, investors, and lenders
  • Translate complex analyses, business cases, and financial forecasts into compelling narratives for external consumption
  • Support investor relations activities, including the preparation of sell-side materials and corporate communications
  • Assist with monthly and quarterly reporting for lenders and investors
  • Build, mentor, and develop a high-performing Strategic Finance team, fostering a culture of curiosity, analytical excellence, and strategic thinking
  • Implement best practices in financial modeling, market analysis, and corporate strategy to elevate team performance
  • Drive collaboration across departments, ensuring alignment between finance, commercial, product, operations, and executive leadership
