Summary

Join Rubrik as Director, CXO Customer Advocacy and build a global executive advocacy function to transform CIOs, CISOs, CTOs, and their peers into high-impact champions. You will lead flagship programs including Customer Advisory Boards, Executive Reference coverage, and a new Executive Sponsorship program. This role requires designing, launching, and managing Rubrik’s Executive Sponsorship Program to connect C-level customer executives with Rubrik leadership. Responsibilities include owning and operating Rubrik’s CABs, building and maintaining an executive reference system, and collaborating with Product, Marketing, and Field teams. You will also establish feedback loops, track program performance, and build executive reference coverage. This is a builder role for someone who operates with polish, precision, and a bias for action.

Requirements

  • 12+ years of experience in executive engagement, technical advocacy, or community leadership within cybersecurity, cloud, or enterprise software sectors
  • Proven ability to build and scale executive-level programs (e.g. CABs, Executive Sponsorship Programs) that influence pipeline and retention
  • Demonstrated success engaging C-level stakeholders and driving peer-based advocacy initiatives
  • Experience working with GTM teams to match customer advocates to key campaigns, moments, and growth initiatives
  • Executive presence, discretion, and professionalism in high-stakes customer interactions
  • Experience navigating matrixed organizations and driving influence without direct authority

Responsibilities

  • Design, launch, and manage Rubrik’s Executive Sponsorship Program to strategically connect C-level customer executives with Rubrik leadership, ensuring deeper alignment, relationship health, and account growth
  • Own and operate Rubrik’s CABs end-to-end, from strategic planning and recruitment to content design and post-even engagement, ensuring agendas influence product strategy and drive C-level relationships
  • Build and maintain a robust executive reference system by vertical and region, partnering with sales to match the right advocate to key pursuits and influence buying cycles
  • Collaborate with Product, Marketing, and Field teams to align executive voices with launches, campaigns and strategic initiatives
  • Build and maintain executive reference coverage for key accounts, industries, and geographies, ensuring sales teams have access to timely, trusted voices
  • Establish consistent feedback loops that capture CXO input and turn insight into action, especially through CABs, 1:1 briefings, and structured listening
  • Track and report on program performance, including advocacy engagement, reference activity, and influence on pipeline and retention

Preferred Qualifications

  • Background in technical customer success, presales engineering, developer advocacy, or technical community management
  • Experience with modern data protection, cloud-native infrastructure, security, identity, or cyber recovery solutions
  • Familiarity with hybrid event programs and digital community platforms
