Director Data Engineering

Summary

Join Circle as a Director of Data Engineering and work closely with engineers to productize data solutions and scalable data pipelines that support these solutions. This position is eligible for day-one PERM sponsorship for qualified candidates.

Requirements

• 10+ years of industry experience working with large datasets and modern data tools
• 5+ years of experience with technical leadership and people management
• Knowledge of a scientific computing language (Python) and Expert at SQL
• Theoretical and applied expertise in database / data warehouse design
• Hands-on experience with common software development flows and tools (Linux, git, AWS)
• Experience designing and implementing complex modeling solutions from ideation to production at scale
• Ability to understand complex business problems and break down analytics projects into a structured approach
• Track record of developing, managing and retaining data engineers
• Experience managing remote teams

Responsibilities

• Work closely with Engineers productizing data solutions and scalable data pipelines that support these solutions
• Communicate cross-functionally and be a subject matter expert
• Partner with Analytics, Product, and Engineering teams to build out platforms and datasets to enable the business by creating road maps and help prioritize data engineering work
• Support the individual and career growth of team members to minimize attrition and maximize output

Benefits

• Base Pay Range: $227,500 - $292,500
• Annual Bonus Target: 20%
