Director, Data Platform Software Engineering Management

Requirements

• Possess great working knowledge of modern programming language runtime memory model and threading model
• Understand and be proficient in Java and other programming languages
• Possess great working knowledge of relational database internals
• Have previous hands-on experience of building large enterprise platform features with successful execution and clear customer outcome
• Be able to go deep in technology and go wide in business application as per need
• Have the ability to drive collaboration platform roadmap and work across organizational boundaries to successfully drive business outcome
• Demonstrate strong strategic thinking and communication skills, able to communicate a compelling vision and need for change that generates excitement, enthusiasm, and commitment to the process
• Be able to manage the day-to-day activities of the development teams within an Agile/Scrum environment
• Have significant experience in a technical leadership role, ideally managing large teams of developers spread across geographies
• Possess exceptional people management skills with the ability to mentor and develop
• Have experience in leveraging or critically thinking about how to integrate AI into work processes, decision-making, or problem-solving
• Have 10+ years of overall experience covering Platform Development and Architecture
• Have 5+ years of experience in Management and execution against project plans and delivery commitments
• Have led an engineering team of 25+ developers and managers to work on various projects in a fast-paced environment with focus on Innovation

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the storage API and logical data object model for higher-layer applications
• Encapsulate the complexity of each storage system while providing a simple, powerful, scalable semantic context layer for customers and developers
• Build applications and integrate seamlessly with AI agents
• Work with various business stakeholders and engineering leaders to drive strategic roadmaps
• Collaborate with other platform teams, application engineering teams, cloud services teams, and support teams to deliver product end-to-end
• Build and expand a strong team to support business demands

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in using AI Productivity tools such as Windsurf, Cursor, etc
