Requirements
- Must have lead billing teams for at least 3+ years with 30+ reports and in an organization with 300+ providers, preferably in the PT/OT/SLP space
- Very strong experience building large teams and a track record of hitting larger company initiatives within your department
- Experience reading/interpreting ANSI EDI Files
- Must have a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business or CPA, CFA, MBA or similar
- Must have 6+ years in the medical billing industry with a focus on RCM and EDI, PT/OT/SLP experience is strongly desired
- Must have a solid understanding of fundamental accounting concepts
- Strong technical skills
- Highly Proficient in MS Excel
- Understanding and learning software is a passion of yours
- Possess strong written and verbal communication skills including exceptional problem-solving skills and the capability to work under pressure
- Ready to embrace a fast-paced environment, with occasional requirements to work beyond standard hours
- Prepared to grow very quickly into your role and take on greater responsibilities as needed
- Able to work independently with minimal direction and oversight
Responsibilities
- Participate in individual contribution for minimally 12 months with clients of all sizes to learn the role at an advanced level
- Oversee strategic initiatives to optimize the billing processes and enhance client satisfaction to help the organization meet its vision, mission, and culture of the Prompt
- Co-develop and drive the People, Process, Systems, and Metrics required to achieve company and departments vision and goals with Director level and above across the CS department
- Build and grow a highly effective team by recognizing strengths and talents of personnel on the Billing Success Team and growing teammates strategically to align with business needs
- Provide support to managers and direct reports in the form of on the spot feedback and assist in performance reviews
- Learn our BI platform and be able to educate the team on it and teach customers how to leverage it
- Mentor other leaders on the team in management strategies
- Assess and develop talent of all team members
- Provide timely and accurate feedback across, up and down whenever necessary
- Communicate respectfully and effectively across departments to drive team and company success
- Serve as a senior expert in discussions with key stakeholders, including internal teams and external partners
- Support the Billing Success Team to train entire RCM staff on billing best practices and support their smooth transition onto the platform
- Assist in teaching submission, posting, invoicing, AR, etc best practices on Prompt to enterprise teams, and teams of other sizes as needs arise
- Have a deep knowledge of Prompt Reporting, Industry Accounting and AR practices, and understanding of Excel and data analysis functions
- Provide reporting training to teams of all sizes, particularly in the areas of accrual accounting, AR reporting, and RCM KPI data
- Support client accounting and finance teams in learning to obtain necessary reporting from the Prompt reporting suite
- Have a deep knowledge of the full revenue cycle and a baseline understanding of the role EDI/ERA plays
- Build relationships with enterprise billing teams
- Understand unique team needs to help configure and develop workflows with their new EMR/PM system
- Develop and maintain an understanding of our product offerings by going through the entire product onboarding process and staying up to date on release information. Use product knowledge to assist the team in responding to incoming customer inquiries across our single-channel support system
- Promote customer satisfaction and loyalty by understanding each customer’s unique (and evolving) needs at a high level. Build processes around, delivering value, and exceeding expectations
- Provide guidance and expertise to billing success managers and interdepartmental partners
- Work collaboratively with Client Success Managers, Client Experience Managers, and the Director of Client Success to improve processes across the team and educate cross functionally
- Support the Billing Success Team in providing expertise to the sales team as needed
