Summary

Join Zensurance as our Director of Commercial Broking and lead multiple teams in sales, service, and administration. Reporting to the VP of Sales, you will drive results by coaching leaders, streamlining processes, and fostering team engagement. You will also build key relationships with underwriters and vendors to enhance client offerings. This role requires strong leadership, commercial insurance expertise, and a proven track record of managing teams. You will be responsible for achieving sales targets, ensuring customer service excellence, and implementing quality initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess excellent people management skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Requirements

  • RIBO license required
  • 10+ years of commercial insurance experience, preferably broking
  • 7+ years of people management experience. Experience managing other managers
  • Excellent technical commercial insurance knowledge
  • Ability to present to both internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to proactively solve problems in a fast paced environment
  • Display excellent people management and role modelling for performance and organizational behaviour

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach and develop your leaders to ensure sales targets are met, customer service excellence, retention goals and foster team engagement along with professional development
  • Lead the quality process initiatives in identifying, planning, creating, and implementing quality initiatives, sales audits, and process reengineering
  • Deliver team objectives by managing your leaders through regular 1:1, goal setting; planning, change management initiatives, and tracking and leading the team to achieve performance metrics
  • Assist with prioritization and strategic leadership initiatives to ensure the team meets goals
  • Ensure appropriate resource planning and proactively anticipate the team structural changes needed properly support the volume and team resource requirements
  • Work closely with the VP of Sales to understand company goals, develop initiatives, and lead projects to deliver on goals
  • Design, analyze and review existing processes to identify efficiencies and optimize team productivity
  • Manage and oversee all client and employee escalations to deliver customer satisfaction
  • Deliver internal information sessions to enhance team learning and knowledge sharing across your department and other cross-team departments
  • Develop and maintain meaningful working relationships with internal and external partners at a senior level
  • Other duties as assigned

Preferred Qualifications

CIP/CRM/CAIB is an asset
