Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience leading engineering teams as a Director or as a Senior Engineering Manager
  • Strong B2B business acumen with deep expertise building marketplace ecosystems and developing partner focused solutions
  • Knowledge and know-how to build friction free payment systems, gateways and workflows
  • Prior experience engaging and building relationship with external vendors or business partners as necessary in an engineering capacity
  • Experience leading teams indirectly by managing managers and driving outcomes
  • Excellent track record of leading initiatives, managing projects and delivering results
  • Strong passion and track record of attracting, developing, and retaining engineers
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Partner with product counterparts in the marketplace and partnerships areas to drive outcomes in alignment with our business goals
  • Drive the development of an exceptional payment experience that is flexible and friction-free
  • Provide direction, leadership, and rally the engineering team toward delivering exceptional marketplace and partner experience
  • Build team structure, practices and workflow necessary to support growth of Marketplace and Partnerships
  • Collaborate with the product team and engineering managers to plan, build and ship value to customers
  • Continuously monitor, improve, and drive engineering practices necessary to deliver consistent, high-quality releases
  • Partner with mobile engineering counterparts to ensure alignment and planning against delivery goals
  • Work with quality & platform engineering leaders to ensure you team delivers quality solutions that are highly secure, reliable, and available
  • Drive engineering practices within your team in alignment with our engineering philosophies
  • Effectively manage performance of your broader team via regular 1-on-1’s, performance reviews and constructive feedback
  • Forecast and recommend hiring needs based on product goals and skillset gaps
  • Recruit top engineering talent as needed and ensure high levels of engagement and retention
  • Develop future leaders by identifying potential and providing necessary opportunities and support
