Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in technology, business, data analytics, or a related field
  • Proven experience managing teams in operational, medical, or data-driven environment
  • Strong project management skills with a track record of delivering on-time, efficient, and high-quality results
  • Strong technical skills, with expertise in Excel (including advanced functions and data visualization)
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and collaborate across teams

Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and manage teams of record retrieval specialists and nurse medical record reviewers to ensure optimal performance and efficiency
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve the speed, accuracy, and quality of medical record retrieval and review processes
  • Oversee daily operations, workflows, and team metrics, ensuring alignment with organizational goals
  • Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive continuous improvements in overall department efficiency
  • Leverage advanced technical skills, including Excel and problem-solving capabilities, to analyze operational performance and develop actionable insights
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT and data analytics, to ensure seamless integration of systems and workflows
  • Utilize SQL and other data tools to support large-scale data analysis and reporting efforts
  • Manage audits and ensure compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and internal policies related to medical record retrieval and review processes
  • Identify opportunities to optimize processes through technology, automation, and data-driven decision-making
  • Maintain compliance with all relevant regulations and standards, ensuring the security and confidentiality of patient information
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging professional development, process innovation, and operational excellence

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degree
  • Experience with SQL and managing large datasets
  • Six Sigma certification or demonstrated experience in operational efficiency and process improvement
  • Demonstrated experience managing audits, ensuring compliance and large project timelines
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, medical records processes, and healthcare compliance regulations
