Summary

Join GoDaddy as a Director of Security Engineering and lead the Product and Offensive Security teams' strategy. You will partner with engineering teams to define product and penetration testing strategies, define the overarching security engineering strategy, and monitor company risk reduction. This role requires 12+ years of progressive security engineering experience with expertise in multiple security domains. You will need strong leadership abilities and excellent interpersonal skills. The position may be hybrid or fully remote, located in India. Requirements

  • Minimum of 12+ years of progressive security engineering experience with expertise in multiple security domains, included but not limited to, Security Architecture, Cryptography, Network Security, Cloud Security, Mobile Security and Web Security
  • Problem-solver with excellent interpersonal skills, a deep technical understanding of security engineering processes and offensive security methodologies
  • Experience leading company-wide information security programs
  • Experience in secure development lifecycle and shift left with a security by design methodology
  • Scripting skills (e.g., Python, C, C++, Java, Ruby, or PowerShell)
  • Experience applying security engineering methodologies that align with security and privacy compliance requirements
  • Intuitively translates big-picture goals to micro use cases with a strong focus on solving key problems to deliver simple solutions

Responsibilities

  • Lead all aspects of Product and Offensive Security teamsโ€™ strategy for the entire company
  • Partner with engineering teams to define years one and three product and penetration testing strategy
  • Define the Security Engineering overarching strategy demonstrating a risk-based philosophy
  • Monitor company risk reduction via the Product and Offensive Security metrics
  • Use your validated experience to own and drive resolution and retesting of sophisticated security events, policy questions and technical security risks

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's/Masterโ€™s Degree/PhD in Computer Science PhD or a related field
  • Hosting Industry experience
