The ideal candidate possesses extensive software development experience, particularly with IoT, mobile, and cloud technologies, and a proven track record of managing complex systems. Requirements

  • Experience across a broad range of technologies, including IoT, mobile, and cloud
  • Experience with building common APIs
  • Experience managing distributed teams
  • 10+ years of professional software development experience or equivalent in developing products on Linux operating system
  • A customer-focused mindset and good product sense
  • Proven track record of automatically managing and instrumenting complex systems in production
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to collaborate multi-functionally

Responsibilities

  • Build roadmaps for our Fleet solution, working closely with our operation team and product management
  • Hire, develop, and lead an inclusive, engaged, and high-performing team
  • Drive improvements to the availability, scalability, latency, and efficiency of SafelyYou core embedded products with scale and reproducibility in mind: β€œcattle only, and no pets”
  • Mentor your team and provide support in architectural decisions, investigations, troubleshooting issues, and designing solutions
  • Ensure adherence to best practices in coding, testing, and deployment, while maintaining high standards of software quality
  • Promote the adoption of agile best practices while being an ambassador of our company values
  • Communicate passionately about the team, our mission, and technology

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with team using Go as a software development language
  • Experience with test-driven API and systems development in Go
  • Passionate about our mission and our technology
