Summary
Join GoDaddy's dynamic team as the next Director of UX for online store and appointments features. Lead and inspire the UX design team in India, elevating design quality and processes globally. Collaborate with US UX leadership, build a Center of Excellence, and mentor junior designers. This hybrid or remote role requires 10+ years in UX, including 4+ years in a management role. You will improve design processes, manage cross-functional initiatives, and drive UX perspectives into company-wide planning. Requirements
- 10+ years in UX, 4+ in a management role as a Director of UX or Design collaborating with US organizations across global time zones, leading and mentoring design teams, with a focus on developing future design leaders
- A track record of optimally delivering major product features, building design processes that help maintain a high-quality bar
- Strong technical proficiency, enabling effective collaboration with global engineering teams
- Proven experience in UX architecture, interaction design, and visual design, supported by a robust portfolio able to present and promote design thinking to stakeholders
- High proficiency in experimentation and testing
Responsibilities
- Improve design quality and process ensuring alignment between Global GoDaddy UX and IN
- Lead and build a UX center of excellence in India, identifying and efficiently implementing processes to internationalize our teams
- Implement regular touchpoints with UX leadership in the US, ensuring alignment and collaboration
- Cultivate positive relationships with designers on the ground, both direct and dotted line reports, to understand and address difficulties within the region
- Coordinate UX standards and processes with rigorously defined policies, processes, and tools
- Collaborate with senior leadership on long-term product and design strategies, driving UX perspectives into company-wide planning
- Mentor and manage mid-level and junior UX designers, encouraging a culture of continuous improvement and skill elevation
- Orchestrate organizational UX research, insights, and metrics reporting to advise strategic decisions
- Promote a human-centered philosophy, influencing organizational culture and capabilities
Preferred Qualifications
BA in Interaction Design, Communication Design, Industrial Design, HCI, or equivalent
