Requirements

• Possess a Degree in Engineering or Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
• Have 10+ years of engineering experience, with 3+ years in leadership roles
• Have experience building and operating distributed systems
• Demonstrate proficiency in one or more programming languages (Node.js, TypeScript preferred)
• Show familiarity with tools like Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, Ansible, and AWS
• Demonstrate understanding of BDD/TDD, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile methodologies
• Possess strong fundamentals in computer science, including data structures, algorithms, OOP, and functional programming
• Have strong experience managing and optimizing e-commerce platforms using Shopify

Responsibilities

• Lead and inspire a multidisciplinary remote team of developers, engineers, and technical specialists
• Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and collaboration to ensure the seamless delivery of projects
• Drive the development and optimization of digital products to enhance customer experience, improve conversion rates, and support business growth
• Oversee the development and performance of our e-commerce platforms, ensuring scalability, performance, and an excellent user experience
• Build and maintain robust analytics infrastructure to track and optimize growth marketing metrics, customer behaviors, and website performance
• Champion best practices in software development, including code quality, scalability, security, and performance
• Rapidly identify and resolve technical challenges to maintain smooth operations
• Partner with product, marketing, and growth teams to align technical solutions with strategic objectives
• Define and execute a clear technology roadmap to achieve business goals and accelerate growth

• Have proven leadership experience in engineering and technology within high-growth D2C or e-commerce businesses
• Possess a strong understanding of consumer-facing digital products and experience scaling platforms for global audiences
• Have expertise in analytics tools, with a strong grasp of growth marketing metrics
• Demonstrate the ability to architect and oversee complex e-commerce systems
• Possess an entrepreneurial mindset with a proactive, problem-solving approach and ability to operate in a fast-paced environment
• Have exceptional communication and leadership skills, with a knack for motivating teams and driving results
• Hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
