Disaster Relief Specialist

Summary

Join Atento as a Disaster Recovery Specialist supporting FEMA! This remote, full-time temporary position in Puerto Rico pays $15.30/hour. You'll assist callers with emergency-related questions. Paid comprehensive training is provided. The role requires customer service experience, strong English communication skills, and passing background and computer skills assessments. A hardwired internet connection and private workspace are essential for remote work.

Requirements

• At least six (6) months of customer service experience
• Ability to speak and read English clearly, professionally, and fluently
• Ability to pass a Computer Skill, Internet and Email Knowledge assessment
• Ability to pass a federal background check
• Ability to work nights and weekends, as well as overtime and/or holidays as needed
• Experience with and/or ability to use call center telephony equipment
• Hardwired internet (ethernet) connection
• Private work area and adequate power source
• Reside in Puerto Rico
• Internet download speed of 15mbps/ Upload 5+ or higher

Responsibilities

• Navigate to the appropriate pre-scripted responses which CSR must read verbatim to provide basic general and claims-specific information
• Utilize standard technology such as telephone, email, and web browser to complete work tasks
• Complete basic call-related input in computer terminal to phone inquiries such as clicking buttons to confirm answers
• Assist callers
• Refer escalated calls as needed to supervisor
