Summary
Join Fever, a leading global live-entertainment discovery tech platform, as a part-time remote Draughtsperson. You will create detailed technical drawings and plans for outdoor event elements using CAD software. Responsibilities include preparing design sketches and plans, communicating with various teams, performing material calculations, identifying design problems, and creating design specifications. This role requires experience with AutoCAD or Sketchup, proficiency in Google Workspace, and excellent attention to detail. A background in engineering or a technical degree is preferred. The position offers a competitive rate based on experience and the opportunity to work remotely.
Requirements
- Be confident in drafting technical packages using AutoCAD or Sketchup (2D)
- Be comfortable inserting an image from GoogleEarth, working with inserting blocks, layers, external references and image underlays
- Be comfortable working in both metric and imperial
- Have exceptional attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
- Possess time management skills to complete error-free work within the required timeframe
- Have critical thinking and problem-solving abilities to develop creative solutions
- Have experience in using Google Drive and the Google suite of applications including Sheets, Word, Google Meetings
- Possess interpersonal skills to work within a team, taking direction from Creative and Production team members
- Have at least 3 years of previous relevant experience in a related industry
- Be able to work in the UK and/or EU and achieve one of the following: (1) Already a citizen/resident in the country and is permitted to work. (2) Already in possession of a work visa/permit
Responsibilities
- Prepare both preliminary design sketches and detailed finished plans that work with CADD systems
- Communicate with the Creative, Production and technical teams, and incorporate knowledge gained into drawings
- Prepare, review and redraft alongside the Creative and Production teams, and maintain updated designs based on changes as they happen
- Perform calculations for materials and weight limitations
- Identify and communicate potential design problems to the rest of the team
- Create design specifications, documentation, and material lists
- Prepare complete documentation packages for engineers
- Report directly to the Technical and Associate Director, but also be working with other teams as needed
Preferred Qualifications
- Have a background in engineering, architectural or landscaping drawings
- Have a degree from a technical college
- Have experience with civil engineering, parking lot configuration, and traffic flow
- Have experience in computer-aided design and drafting using any or all of the following: Vectorworks, GoogleEarth, wysiwyg
