Summary

Join a growing team of technologists specializing in Drupal and contribute to impactful projects. This position requires 5+ years of experience in development and 2+ years specifically in Drupal. Day-to-day responsibilities include developing custom Drupal modules and themes, configuring websites, selecting and debugging contrib modules, creating documentation, and working with DevOps tools. The ideal candidate possesses strong communication skills, experience with various development practices and tools, and a collaborative spirit. Visa sponsorship is available for qualified candidates. Remote work is possible with availability during Montreal working hours.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of Drupal experience and 5+ years of development experience
  • Ability to create Drupal themes and modules following best practices
  • Experience working with a team and using a standardized development workflow
  • Familiarity with the Linux command line
  • Understanding of software development practices
  • Familiarity with Git
  • Ability to write technical documentation
  • Experience integrating Drupal with third-party APIs
  • Experience working with SASS, JavaScript, jQuery
  • Experience using a project management tool like Redmine or JIRA
  • Strong communication skills in English (oral and written)

Responsibilities

  • Work with a team of developers, designers, and project managers
  • Develop custom Drupal modules and themes, and configure Drupal websites
  • Select and debug Drupal contrib modules
  • Create documentation and write blog posts
  • Work with DevOps tools like Docker
  • Learn how to use other web development platforms and frameworks
  • Contribute to the technical community at Evolving Web and the larger open-source community

Preferred Qualifications

  • Front-end development expertise
  • Experience with system administration and security
  • Contributions to an open-source project
  • Experience working with hosting platforms like Pantheon and Acquia
  • Experience with Symfony, Laravel, WordPress, and other web development platforms
  • Strong communication skills in French
  • Collaborative and open to feedback

  • Organized and able to work on several projects concurrently
  • Creative, curious, and proactive at problem-solving
  • Not afraid of learning new tools and taking on new responsibilities
  • Available during Montreal working hours
