Summary
Join Pipe17's growing team as an API/EDI Backend Developer based in LatAm or Europe. You will design, implement, and maintain API and EDI integrations for our e-commerce platform. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery. Responsibilities include configuring API/EDI mappings, troubleshooting processes, and providing ongoing support. A Bachelor's degree in a related field and proven API/EDI development experience are required. Experience with EDI standards (e.g., ANSI X12, EDIFACT) and protocols (AS2, FTP, SFTP) is essential. Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- Proven experience in API Platform development and bonus EDI/B2B development, including hands-on experience with EDI standards (e.g., ANSI X12, EDIFACT) and protocols (AS2, FTP, SFTP)
- Proven experience with HTML, CSS, Node.js and Javascript - Typescript experience is a plus
- Must have experience in developing custom scripts and automation tools for EDI/B2B integration
- Solid understanding of B2B communication protocols, data formats (XML, JSON), and data mapping/transformation techniques
- Experience working with EDI translation software (e.g., Gentran, Sterling B2B Integrator) and EDI VANs (Value-Added Networks)
- Experience working with protocols, e.g. EDIFACT, X12, etc
- Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with clients, vendors, and internal teams to gather requirements, convey technical concepts, and provide support
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement API/EDI B2B integrations into the Pipe17 platform to enable Pipe17 customers to transact with retailers and logistics providers via API/EDI
- Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to gather requirements and ensure successful delivery of Pipe17 API/EDI/B2B Roadmap
- Configure and customize API/EDI mappings, transformations, and workflows to facilitate seamless data exchange between trading partners and Pipe17 systems
- Perform testing, troubleshooting, and debugging of EDI/B2B processes to ensure accuracy, reliability, and compliance with industry standards
- Provide ongoing support and maintenance for existing API/EDI/B2B integrations, including monitoring performance, addressing issues, and implementing enhancements
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in APIEDI/B2B development to drive continuous improvement and innovation within the organization
Preferred Qualifications
- Certification in EDI/B2B integration (e.g., Certified EDI Professional) is a plus
- Experience with e-commerce platforms (e.g., Shopify, Magento, WooCommerce) and cloud-based integration tools (e.g., MuleSoft, Dell Boomi) is desirable
- Knowledge of ecommerce is a must and supply chain management, logistics, and retail industry processes, advantageous
