EIOR Paralegal

Summary

The Matian Firm is seeking an experienced Immigration Paralegal to join their legal team. The paralegal will be responsible for analyzing case documents, preparing immigration applications, communicating with clients, managing cases using case management systems, and maintaining hard copy files. They must have at least 1-2 years of experience in Immigration Law, be a fluent Spanish speaker, and have experience with various types of USCIS applications and Case Management Software.

Requirements

• At least 1-2 years of Immigration Law experience
• Previous experience as a paralegal or other legal field
• Spanish Fluency needed for this role
• Experience with Family-Based Petitions, Humanitarian, EOIR, Detained, Citizenship, and other USCIS applications
• Experience with Case Management Software

Responsibilities

• Analyze case documents and prepare immigration applications for filing with the appropriate government agency
• Communicate with clients and foreign nationals regarding procedural and case processing issues
• Oversee status of cases through utilization of case management and billing systems. Run reports
• Maintain hard copy files and documents to support all immigration activity on behalf of clients
• Ensure that clients are kept informed on the progress of their cases
• Assist attorneys and other team members to manage caseload
