Electrical Engineering Team Lead

Summary

The job is for an Electrical Engineer Team Leader at Beta Engineering. The role involves supervising multiple engineers, ensuring designs meet code and standards, and traveling periodically to customer offices and job sites. A bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, PE certification, and previous supervisory experience are required. Strong background in Microsoft Office and knowledge of various engineering software is preferred.

Requirements

• Bachelor degree (or higher) in Electrical Engineering is required
• PE is required
• Previous supervisory experience is preferred
• Strong background in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint required; strong verbal and written communication skills are required

Responsibilities

• Oversee all engineering responsibilities and activities
• Delegates engineering responsibilities and activities within their team
• Leads the design and checking processes
• Manages the day-to-day activities of schedule and design
• Directly trains and directs EEs and EETs under their charge
• Maintains design standards and training guidelines
• Coordinates and problem solves issues between design teams and departments
• Answers technical questions posed by construction managers, field staff, project managers, customers and their representatives
• Recognizes and recommends methods to improve every customer’s experience
• Travels periodically to both customer offices for project meetings and to job sites for construction visits
• Performs bi-yearly evaluations on all employees reporting to them

Preferred Qualifications

Knowledge of all or some of the following applications are preferred: AutoCAD, Microstation, CDEGS grounding software, AcSELerator Quickset, Enervista, CYMCAP, SKM, LitePro, ETAP

$113,430 - $148,679 per year (potential for beyond scale)
