Summary

The Electrical Graduate Engineer will create and edit plans, perform calculations, select equipment, support construction phase activities, and perform other tasks as needed with occasional travel. The ideal candidate should have proficiency in drawing software, learning to complete lighting designs and telecom distribution designs, developing knowledge of relevant codes and standards, effective communication skills, and ability to obtain a professional engineering license.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in drawing software like Revit, AutoCAD, or Microstation
  • Developing knowledge of relevant codes and standards
  • Effective communication skills, both orally and in writing
  • Ensuring compliance with data privacy and security policies
  • Bachelor or Master Degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology; Degree must be ABET accredited, or acceptable to the State Board of Engineers for licensure as a professional engineer
  • 0 - 4 years experience
  • Engineer-in-Training (EIT) preferred; Expected to pass FE exam within 12 months of hiring/promotion
  • Ability to obtain professional engineering license
  • US citizenship required; ability to obtain a security clearance preferred

Responsibilities

  • Creating and editing plans and BIM models
  • Performing lighting and engineering calculations, and preparing cost estimates
  • Selecting equipment and creating schedules, diagrams, and details
  • Supporting construction phase activities like reviewing submittals and answering RFIs
  • Editing and checking specifications and design documents
