Summary
Join TPC Training, a leader in practical skills training, as a Mechanical and/or Electrical Instructor. This role requires a strong background in mechanical and electrical fields with commercial, residential, and production experience. Instructors will deliver hands-on and lecture-based training to 2-25 students, requiring travel and proficiency in MS Office products. Experience with virtual training is a plus. Compensation is based on a contract basis with varying rates for in-person and virtual sessions. The position is remote-based, with instructors commuting to assignments from their nearest major airport.
Requirements
- Possess excellent communication skills with the ability to deliver technical training
- Have 10 years of field experience as an Industrial Maintenance Technician or in Skilled Trades Training
- Demonstrate a customer service mindset with the ability and passion to share knowledge and experience
- Be willing to travel regularly to scheduled training events
- Have an associate degree or higher or a license/certification for the discipline
- Possess real-world experience as a Maintenance Technician or in Skilled Trades Training
- Have presentation skills and be willing to travel extensively
- Possess an Associate’s degree or higher or a license/certification for the discipline applying
Responsibilities
- Instruct 2-25 students in a classroom setting with hands-on and lecture components
- Utilize MS Office products (PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, and Excel)
- Travel regularly to scheduled training events
- Manage training support equipment up to 90 pounds
- Deliver training on one or more specified mechanical or electrical disciplines (see job description for list)

Have experience with virtual training via Zoom platform
