Electrical/Mechanical Trainer

Summary

Join TPC Training, a leader in practical skills training, as a Mechanical and/or Electrical Instructor. Instructors will deliver technical training to 2-25 students in classroom settings, incorporating hands-on and lecture components. This role requires extensive travel within the Mountain and Pacific Time Zones, necessitating residency in one of these zones. The position involves instructing on various mechanical and electrical topics, utilizing MS Office products and potentially Zoom for virtual training. Compensation is based on a contract basis with varying rates for in-person and virtual sessions. The ideal candidate possesses a strong mechanical and electrical background with significant field experience.

Requirements

• Possess excellent communication skills with the ability to deliver technical training
• Have 10 years of field experience as an Industrial Maintenance Technician or Skilled Trades Training
• Demonstrate a customer service mindset with the ability and passion to share your knowledge and experience
• Be willing to travel regularly to scheduled training events
• Possess an associate degree or higher or a license/certification for the discipline
• Have real-world experience as a Maintenance Technician or Skilled Trades Training
• Possess presentation skills and be willing to travel extensively
• Have an Associate’s degree or higher or a license/certification for the discipline applying

Responsibilities

• Deliver technical training to 2-25 students in a classroom setting, incorporating hands-on and lecture components
• Travel regularly to scheduled training events within the Mountain and Pacific Time Zones
• Utilize MS Office products (PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, and Excel) for training materials and communication
• Instruct on various mechanical and electrical topics (see list in job description)
• Manage training support equipment up to 90 pounds
