Summary

The job is for an Email & SMS Strategist at CTC who will create and execute strategies to grow email and SMS marketing programs, collaborate with internal teams, and develop annual strategic initiative roadmaps for clients. A Bachelor's degree is preferred but not required, and 3-5 years of experience in a retention role with a focus on DTC ecommerce is expected.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required
  • 3 to 5 years’ experience in a retention role with a focus on DTC ecommerce
  • Strong knowledge of email marketing, ESPs, copywriting, and best practices for email deliverability
  • Understanding of other messaging platforms, such as SMS and Messenger
  • Proven experience in the direct-to-consumer space with expertise in Klaviyo or other major email service providers
  • Hands-on experience with A/B testing and persuasive copywriting
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written) with the ability to support or defend a position or idea in a clear, concise, and persuasive manner
  • Relentless curiosity and an insatiable need to know more about your clients, their products, and their customers
  • Ability to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks with great attention to detail
  • Self-starter that can work independently and collaborate with a team
  • Inability to leave a problem alone until you’ve found one or many different potential solutions
  • The ability to confidently present plans both to your team and to clients
  • Attention to detail — if the copy is off-brand, you raise hell

Responsibilities

  • Write top-notch copy for email and SMS; ownership of the brand voice and attention to detail will be key
  • Own end-to-end execution of email and SMS marketing campaigns (scheduling, deployment, segmentation, reporting)
  • Develop email and SMS marketing strategies to drive customer retention and reactivation, including A/B testing and driving optimizations to enhance engagement
  • Analyze and report on the performance of campaigns, making data-driven recommendations for improvements
  • Embrace a testing mindset to continually refine and improve campaign effectiveness through statistical analysis
  • Work hand-in-hand with the Growth Strategist to plan and calculate spend allocated to and revenue derived from Email & SMS campaigns
  • Collaborate with Creative Strategists on building and executing a holistic marketing calendar
  • Track metrics and send out regular reports to the executive team and stakeholders on a monthly and quarterly basis
