Requirements

• Active bar license in state of California
• A minimum of 8 years of employment litigation experience
• A JD degree from a top, ABA accredited law school
• Excellent writing skills
• Ideal candidate will have experience with EPLI (Employment Practices Liability Insurance) matters
• Ability to meet deadlines and prioritize responsibilities
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

Responsibilities

• Conducting the initial factual investigation into class, collective, representative, and complex litigation matters by collecting and reviewing key documents
• Drafting answers, corporate disclosure, removal documents, initial disclosures, and additional legal documents in various jurisdictions
• Represent clients in labor and employment litigation matters, including but not limited to wrongful termination, discrimination, harassment, and wage and hour disputes
• Preparing a full evaluation of the case based on the needs of the client and trial team, including an assessment of the client’s wage and hour and/or other employment policies, analysis of the claims at issue in the case, and the possible and likely defenses in the matter
• Acting as the liaison between teams to identify when additional team members are needed
