Summary

Join Abercrombie & Fitch Co. as a Workday Prism Data Warehouse Engineer to design, build, and maintain the architecture of our Workday Prism data warehouse. Partner with stakeholders across HR, Stores, and Digital & Tech to model data, optimize performance, and deliver trusted insights. Responsibilities include designing and developing the data warehouse architecture, creating and maintaining data models, collaborating with stakeholders, optimizing performance, ensuring data security and governance, supporting report development, troubleshooting issues, and implementing continuous improvements. The ideal candidate possesses 3+ years of experience in data warehouse design and development, experience with Workday Prism and related tools, and expertise in SQL and data modeling. Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in data warehouse design and development
  • Experience with Workday Prism, Workday Report Writer, and other Workday tools
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • Expertise in SQL, data modeling, and ETL development
  • Proven experience designing and maintaining data warehouses and integrating data from multiple sources
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Microsoft Azure

Responsibilities

  • Data Warehouse Design: Design and develop the architecture of the Workday Prism Data Warehouse, ensuring it integrates data from Workday HCM, external systems, and operational data sources to meet reporting and analytics needs
  • Data Modeling: Create and maintain data models that support People Analytics and Store Operations reporting needs, ensuring data integrity, consistency, and scalability across various data sets
  • Collaboration with Stakeholders: Work closely with People Analytics, Store Operations, and Digital & Tech teams to understand data requirements and translate them into efficient data warehouse solutions
  • Performance Optimization: Monitor and optimize the performance of the Prism data warehouse to handle large datasets, ensuring data queries and reports run efficiently and at scale
  • Security and Data Governance: Ensure compliance with data governance policies and collaborate with team members to manage data security, access controls, and user permissions within the data warehouse. Responsible for handling sensitive and confidential data
  • Report Development: Support People Analytics and Store Operations with the build and optimization of reports, dashboards, and analytics that utilize data from the Prism data warehouse
  • Troubleshooting and Support: Provide ongoing support for data warehouse issues, troubleshoot performance bottlenecks, and resolve data integrity issues
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement improvements to the data warehouse architecture, data pipelines, and reporting capabilities to enhance operational efficiency and business decision-making. Keep up with the latest Workday Prism releases and recommend/implement enhancements

Preferred Qualifications

  • Workday HCM and Prism certification
  • Familiarity with data science techniques and tools for predictive analytics and machine learning
