Engineering Intern

Summary

Cowboy is a Belgian startup developing electric bikes for urban mobility. The company has won several awards and plans to expand operations with a new generation of electric bikes and recruit 30+ new talents. An Engineering Intern is sought to join the team and contribute to the development of diagnostic capabilities by conducting experiments on test benches, investigating diagnostic data, refining diagnostic tools, preparing reports, and exploring machine learning algorithms.

Requirements

• Current enrolment in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
• Strong interest in and understanding of electronic systems and diagnostics
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Effective communication and teamwork skills

Responsibilities

• Conduct experiments on electronic test benches to simulate bike failures
• Analyse output data from trips, DFCs, pings etc. to enhance diagnostic accuracy
• Investigate diagnostic test runs performed before and after repairs
• Refine and implement findings in the ‘Check My Bike’ diagnostic tool
• Prepare detailed reports and presentations on research findings
• Investigate and implement machine learning algorithms to automate recognition of new patterns and trends in diagnostic data
