Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field preferred and or a senior in college looking for a paid intern role
• Some experience in Hardware QA testing for payment systems, preferably in a kiosk environment

Responsibilities

• Test Planning and Execution: Develop, implement, and execute detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts for kiosk hardware and software applications
• Perform functional, regression, security, and performance testing to ensure the reliability and accuracy of payment processing
• Hardware and Software Integration Testing: Test and validate the integration of payment kiosk software with various hardware components, including card readers, printers, and touchscreens
• Ensure seamless functionality and compatibility with different payment methods and processing systems
• Security and Compliance Testing: Implement and execute security testing procedures to identify and address potential vulnerabilities in payment kiosk applications
• Usability Testing: Collaborate with UX/UI designers to conduct usability testing and ensure an optimal user experience for payment kiosk interfaces
• Documentation and Reporting: Document test cases, test results, and any issues identified during testing. Communicate effectively with development teams to provide detailed reports on bugs and improvements

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with payment processing protocols, standards, and compliance requirements
• Experience with hardware testing tools and frameworks
• Knowledge of hardware testing methodologies
• Familiarity with payment technologies such as EMV, NFC, and QR codes

Benefits

Expected hourly rate is $20-$25 an hour
