Engineering Lead

Summary

Join our team as an Engineering Lead to oversee a team of engineers and lead the development of smart solutions for logistics challenges. You will be responsible for implementing a scalable software development model, partnering with technology leadership, and optimizing the engineering team.

Requirements

• 7+ years of software architecture and software development experience
• 4+ years programming experience (Python, Ruby, Go preferred)
• 2+ years experience managing and leading engineering teams, demonstrating a track record of successful deliveries
• BS or MS in Engineering or other STEM discipline, preferred
• Working knowledge of how mobile and web clients interact with the backend

Responsibilities

• Oversee a multidisciplinary team of engineers through technical project management and development
• Implement a scalable model for software development that exceeds expectations in delivery, timing and quality
• Apply experience and knowledge of industry best practices to support and continuously improve the performance, efficiency, and maintainability of Roadie’s platform
• Partner with technology leadership to build technical strategy, and effectively define supporting objectives and key results for team to execute upon
• Streamline the software development life cycle
• Optimize engineering team by growing as needed, working to help attract top-technical talent, and continuously coaching and developing existing team members
