Summary

Requirements

  • 3+ years of successful leadership experience in a remote software development team
  • Excellent project management skills. Ability to help plan the technical part of a release from start to finish
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Superb organization skills and process management
  • Ability to work remotely and with remote team members
  • Ability to work independently and also work well within a team environment
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Comfortable with agile methodologies & scrum

  • Ability to communicate complex subjects effectively with non-technical people and groups
  • Ability to travel (<10%) for team meetups, conferences, etc

Responsibilities

  • Manage people, processes, and technology to ensure the Forms product serves our customers well and projects are delivered on time and within specifications
  • Guide and support the people on your team
  • Hold regular 1:1 conversations, determine and implement growth paths, and hold them accountable for technical and cultural performance
  • Identify and drive process improvements to ensure high productivity and low frustration during the Software Development Life Cycle
  • Collaborate with Engineering Managers, Product Managers, Designers, Developers, and external stakeholders to ensure clarity, consensus, and commitment to high-performing processes
  • Prioritize and plan technology changes to ensure the team works with the best tools possible
  • Work across multiple teams and disciplines to scope, plan, and manage projects through delivery
  • Collaborate with other teams and customers to ensure their needs are understood and prioritized
  • Manage scrum ceremonies to ensure the team runs smoothly (daily standup, backlog refinement, sprint review, sprint retrospective, sprint planning, etc.)
  • Help manage the details and organization of the team’s Jira backlog
  • Set measurable goals for yourself and others. Build and track team and individual metrics to ensure progress is visible and measurable
  • Understand and uphold our cultural values and ensure they are woven into decision-making
  • Work asynchronously with staff across departments and timezones
  • Manage the on-call duty roster for your team on a rotating schedule

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working and managing remote teams over multiple time zones
  • Experience using JIRA, Product Board, Looker, Snyk, OpsGenie, or similar softwares
  • Scrum certification
  • AWS certifications
  • Experience as a full-stack developer or QA Analyst

  • Salary Range: $120,000 - $140,000 USD/year
  • Plus a potential annual bonus of up to 10% of the salary
