Requirements
- 3+ years of experience as an Engineering Manager
- 3-5+ years of experience as a Software Engineer
- A proven track record of building and influencing and guiding high-performing teams that have successfully delivered business outcomes through technical investments
- A technical foundation that enables oversight of appropriate technical trajectory
- A strong product mindset, demonstrated by building effective cross-functional relationships that drive optimal user experiences and build trust with users
- A history of effective collaboration across teams and functions
Responsibilities
- Oversees technical implementations, including pull request reviews, to maintain high code quality and alignment with engineering principles
- Take full ownership of system production operations, ensuring system reliability and monitoring performance with a clear understanding of SLAs
- Mentor and coach team members to support their career development, skill growth, and overall experience
- Oversee and manage 1:1s, development, hiring, and performance reviews
- Foster a culture of retention and engagement by ensuring job satisfaction and alignment with broader career aspirations
- Adjust team processes to drive efficiency and reduce cycle times
- Collaborate with Product Managers to ensure consistent estimation, planning, and alignment with project goals
- Promote a culture of collaboration and positive impact across the entire team and cross-functional partners, including product and design
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience with TypeScript and React is a nice-to-have
- Familiarity with Fintech or Fintech-related systems and integrations is a plus
- Experience working with AWS infrastructure is a plus
- Experience in health-tech or fintech, particularly with user-facing products, is a plus
