  • Challenge teams to measure impact and demonstrate added value
  • Have great communication skills. Both verbal and in writing

Responsibilities

  • Lead 1 team of 3-4 engineers, focusing on outcomes over output
  • Partner with engineers, product managers and product designers to deliver great customer impact and make the company a great place to work
  • Coach, mentor and develop high-performing engineers. Ensure high psychological safety
  • Partner with product and science teams to establish the roadmap and achieve sustainable throughput while iterating fast
  • Challenge engineers on system design, scope or sequencing to deliver faster while decreasing the technical debt. Actively tackle any bottleneck in the system, wherever they are
  • Contribute to the evolution of their architecture, tools and processes
  • Partner with other engineering managers on cross-cutting initiatives like hiring or onboarding

Preferred Qualifications

  • An incredible growth mindset. You read books, watch talks, listen to podcasts and are never afraid to try new things
  • Experience building mobile apps
  • Experience deploying machine learning in production
  • Experience with scalability (backend, data pipelines)
