Engineering Manager - Developer

Summary

Join our team as an Engineering Manager to lead and scale our AI-focused product engineering team. This role blends hands-on engineering (50%) with people leadership (50%), ideal for those wanting to build and lead. You will drive the development of AI-powered user experiences and intelligent workflows, collaborating with Product, Design, and Data Science teams. The position involves developing state-of-the-art AI agents and systems, creating prototypes and MVPs, designing and implementing advanced internal agent-based systems, and prototyping innovative AI solutions. You will also lead a remote team, own the product roadmap, guide system architecture, and foster a fast-moving, AI-forward engineering culture.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience in developing AI-driven solutions, proficient in programming with Python and its ecosystem, including AI tools
• Strong background in building applications based on Large Language Models (LLMs) and are familiar with leveraging models like LLama, Claude, and GPT-4 for innovative applications
• Expertise including working with leading AI technologies and frameworks, such as TensorFlow and PyTorch, with a deep understanding of deep learning principles
• Your passion for AI is evident in your continuous pursuit of knowledge and innovation within the field, aiming to apply AI technologies to solve complex problems
• You are technically skilled, self-motivated, and proactive, with a strong interest in applying your AI expertise to develop solutions that address significant challenges in the security domain
• 10+ years in software engineering, 2+ years in engineering leadership
• Strong full-stack experience (JavaScript/TypeScript, React, Node.js, Python)
• Hands-on experience with AI/ML systems in production
• Strong foundation in architecture, scalability, and system design
• Great communicator and mentor in remote-first teams

Responsibilities

• Develop state-of-the-art AI agents and systems aimed at revolutionizing how security teams detect, triage, and respond to incidents, using models such as LLama, Claude, and GPT-4
• Create prototypes and Minimum Viable Products (MVPs) to showcase new AI capabilities in the context of security, focusing on the integration of diverse security tools and data
• Design and implement advanced internal agent-based systems for security operations, including anomaly detection, threat intelligence correlation, and automated incident prioritization
• Prototype and innovate AI solutions that streamline security processes, enhance detection accuracy, and improve response times
• Work closely with product and engineering teams to integrate AI technologies into our security solutions, ensuring they meet high-performance standards and contribute to user-centric outcomes
• Lead a remote team of full-stack and AI engineers
• Own and deliver the product roadmap with Product and Design
• Guide system architecture, sprint planning, and code reviews
• Hire, coach, and grow high-performing engineers
• Foster a fast-moving, AI-forward engineering culture

Preferred Qualifications

• Built AI-powered SaaS or low-code/no-code platforms
• Worked with vector DBs, LLM orchestration tools (LangChain, AutoGen)
• We are heavily biased towards Startup or high-growth experience
• Blogged or contributed to open-source projects
