Engineering Manager, Endpoint Agent

Summary

Join Halcyon, a leading anti-ransomware security company, as an Engineering Manager to lead a cross-platform endpoint development team. You will manage a team of 6-10 engineers building next-generation protection for Windows, Linux, and macOS using Rust. Responsibilities include team management, collaboration with other teams, feature planning and delivery, and contributing to the company's technical strategy. You will also mentor junior engineers and work with the sustaining team to resolve customer issues. Requirements

• Experience leading a high-performing engineering team
• Experience working in a fully remote environment
• Ability to balance strategic leadership with day-to-day team management
• Experience in developing commercial or enterprise software in C++ and/or Rust
• Proficient with Windows, macOS and Linux
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

• Manage a cross platform Rust development team building for Windows, Linux and macOS
• Nurture a collaborative, high-performing team culture
• Work with development and research teams to plan, design and deliver features
• Offer input on future direction and strategy of the Halcyon endpoint
• Estimate and track team progress
• Be active in the code review process
• Mentor young engineers and future leaders
• Develop deep product expertise to guide technical direction and unblock your team
• Partner with the sustaining team to resolve customer issues promptly
• Coordinate the agent release schedule

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with enterprise endpoint software, Jenkins, or Python
