Requirements

  • Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
  • 8+ years in infrastructure engineering, including 2+ years in a leadership role
  • Expertise in cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation)
  • Strong skills in Kubernetes, Docker, CI/CD tooling (GitHub Actions, Jenkins), and monitoring platforms like Datadog
  • Knowledge of networking, security (Zero Trust Security), and systems architecture
  • Proven ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain comprehensive and up-to-date documentation
  • Excellent team management, communication, and emotional intelligence skills

Responsibilities

  • Audit and review infrastructure, focusing on budget, security, and deployment pipelines
  • Partner with the Director of Engineering to build a roadmap for immediate and long-term goals
  • Develop best practices for knowledge sharing, documentation, and security
  • Recruit, mentor, and grow a high-performing team to meet evolving business needs
  • Conduct regular performance reviews, support career development, and foster a collaborative team environment
  • Participate in team projects, contributing directly when needed to ensure alignment and progress
  • Support and lead technical initiatives in scalable, cost-effective cloud infrastructure design
  • Refine and optimize cloud infrastructure to reduce costs and improve scalability
  • Oversee budget and vendor relationships to maximize resource use
  • Collaborate with security teams to uphold SOC 2 - Type 2 compliance and implement best practices
  • Enhance CI/CD process for rapid and reliable code deployment
  • Leverage effective communication to collaborate across teams and build a supportive environment
