Engineering Team Lead

Summary

The job is for a Team Lead - Engineering at Xero's Identity & Auth Team. The role involves leading two developer pods, setting directions, and promoting a culture of teamwork and high-quality engineering practices. The work involves a microservice written in C# on .NET, AWS services, Docker containers orchestrated by Kubernetes, SPA written in React with TypeScript, and an automated CI/CD pipeline.

Ability to understand the technical decisions the team is making, ask the right questions, and challenge the team to arrive at the right approach

Responsibilities

• Ensure your team has all the right tools and support they need to be successful
• Meet regularly with each member of your team and encourage them to become the highest performing version of themselves
• Be influential in delivery, fostering a culture of quality and trust
• Ensure software is built to a high standard
• Help resolve roadblocks that the team faces
• Look to continually improve and iterate on the agile process and practices within the team
