Requirements

• Experience in leading the execution and delivery of complex/large engineering projects and pushing forward cross-functional teams
• Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript
• Practical experience in designing APIs and managing databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB)
• Commitment to upholding high engineering standards
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
• Fluency in English, with effective communication skills

Responsibilities

• Own the roadmap of the Mimica web app
• Lead a team of engineers
• Direct the direction and cultivate an environment that prioritizes growth, efficiency, and technical excellence
• Independently solve complex technical challenges, particularly in developing a real-time backend service for concurrent user interactions and AI model retraining
• Identify and resolve bottlenecks and efficiency blockers
• Champion initiatives to improve the quality, security, and performance of our systems and processes
• Promote a culture of collaboration and continuous learning
• Support team growth by recruiting and onboarding talent that matches our values and technical excellence

Preferred Qualifications

• Firm grasp of distributed systems concepts and techniques
• Working knowledge of secure software design principles and familiarity with secure communication protocols and data protection mechanisms
• Experience working within a high-impact, high-ambiguity startup environment
• Active interest in AI, automation, or related fields
