This long-term project requires an eight-hour weekday schedule (10 AM to 7 PM GMT+8). The role involves translating English game content into high-quality Vietnamese, reviewing translations, providing quality reports, and managing glossaries. Collaboration with project managers, LQA teams, and other linguists is essential. Candidates must be native Vietnamese speakers with strong English proficiency and at least three years of game localization experience. A translation test and additional documentation are required before an interview.

Requirements

• Native Vietnamese speaker with excellent command of the language
• Strong proficiency in English
• A university degree in translation or equivalent professional experience
• At least 3 years of proven experience in game localization
• Deep understanding of gaming culture and localization trends
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work with a diverse, global team
• Self-motivated and comfortable in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

Responsibilities

• Translate English content into high-quality, natural Vietnamese
• Review and refine Vietnamese translations for consistency and accuracy
• Provide detailed language quality reports on reviewed texts
• Develop and manage glossaries, terminologies, and style guides
• Work closely with freelance translators and vendors, offering feedback and support
• Ensure creative consistency in the Vietnamese localization
• Collaborate with Project Managers, LQA teams, linguists, and the translation team to maintain quality across all projects
• Perform Quality Assurance (QA) checks to ensure top-notch translations
• Take full ownership of assigned translations to ensure the best possible content for our players

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of Sino-Vietnamese and understanding of Simplified Chinese is a plus
• Experience using CAT tools is preferred
• Familiarity with esports and the player community is a plus
