Join our team as a Cloud Architect to create a holistic strategy for optimizing cloud E2E infrastructure for energy efficiency while maintaining scalability, performance, and security. Define the core concept, strategy, and orchestration for a cloud ecosystem that minimizes environmental impact while driving innovation for sustainable IT solutions.

Requirements

  • Deep expertise in cloud architecture design, including IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, and hybrid cloud solutions
  • Experience with orchestration tools like Kubernetes, Terraform, or similar platforms for automation and resource optimization
  • Familiarity with energy-efficient computing techniques, low-power hardware, and power optimization technologies
  • Proficiency in networking, storage, virtualization, and containerization in cloud environments
  • Passion for sustainability and a desire to apply knowledge to reduce environmental impact of cloud computing
  • Speak English at least on B2 level and/or German language on B2+ level

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and development of a next-generation energy-efficient cloud architecture that meets the company’s performance, security, and sustainability objectives
  • Architect solutions that utilize energy-efficient technologies, cloud infrastructure, and data center best practices to minimize power consumption
  • Define and oversee the overall strategy for cloud infrastructure, including compute, storage, networking, IoT and edge components
  • Design an orchestration framework that automates and optimizes resource management across cloud environments to achieve energy efficiency
  • Architect edge computing solutions that optimize data processing and storage closer to the source to minimize latency and reduce energy consumption
  • Research and integrate emerging green IT technologies such as ARM-based processors, low-power data center hardware, and other data reducing technologies into the cloud infrastructure
  • Design policies for energy-aware computing that consider workload placement, energy-efficient data centers, and optimal resource utilization
  • Collaborate with sustainability teams to track, measure, and optimize energy consumption across the cloud ecosystem
